This article explains the process of manually recording observation metrics for social media posts. These step's are essential for ensuring all relevant data is captured within the 2.0 system, especially for posts that are not automatically collected.

Record Metrics for an Existing Post
Follow these steps to update or add metrics to a post that already exists in the system:
- Navigate to the Post Search page: https://agent.viralnation.io/posts
- Find the post by pasting its direct URL into the search bar and clicking "Apply".
- Click on the post from the search results to open it.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the "Record Metrics" button.

Complete the necessary fields in the form and click "Save Changes".
- Note: Set the "Timestamp" fields to the best estimate of the date and time the screenshot was taken.
Create a New Post and Record Metrics
If a post does not appear in the search results, follow these steps to create a new entry under the creator's profile.
- Navigate to the Creators page: https://agent.viralnation.io/personas
- Search for the creator using their social media handle or name.
- Click on the creator's profile from the search results to open their page.
- Click the "Record Post" button in the profile header to create the new post entry.

Complete the necessary fields in the form and click "Save Changes".
- Note: Set the "Timestamp" fields to the best estimate of the date and time the screenshot was taken.
Important Notes
- Platform Visibility: Posts created using this manual process will not be visible in the system. However, the post data and its associated metrics will be successfully recorded in the backend.
- Processing Time: It takes approximately 6 hours for the manually recorded posts and metrics to be processed.
